In order to better understand the character of Meursault, we were of introduced to The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus which was presented to us by our philosophy teacher Nena Šurlan. In the end we concluded that these rebellious characters, Sisyphus and Meursault, are connected by the tendency to achieve their goals, which brings them happiness. The meaning of life is in this search for happiness. This search is very often futile but we must not give up on it.

Green Fest is an international festival dedicated to ecology and the protection of environment. This festival encourages people to care for their environment through films, educational lectures, exhibitions and many other activities. Students from our school participated in this festival by taking part in many workshops and having their own presentations.

Students of first year held a class called "Italiano della musica, musica dell'italiano" to mark the week of Italian language. Milan Mrdeljić i Mina Jarić performed "La donna è mobile" from Guiseppe Verdi`s opera Rigoletto. After the performance Milan presented some of the great names of Italian opera after which we saw a video presentation about the process of making an opera.

On our rhetoric class on November 18th we had our famous reporter and TV presenter Voja Nedeljković as a guest. The lecture was a very interesting one because he insisted on interaction. He talked about his experience in working on radio and television to show us that stage fright is something that anybody can overcome. He taught us how to stand and that our posture says a lot about how insecure we are. He showed us how to talk to people no matter who they are.

On November 16th Serbian Language and Literature class brought two opposites together: chemistry and literature. The class started with the biography of the great German writer Goethe and Faustus. The only thing that connects them is alchemy. We were introduced to this art and tried to make our own philosopher’s stone, or at least the elixir of youth. This reminded us of the mystical in the work of the artist.
