Students of Grade 8 watched the opera "The elixir of love" in Madlenianum Theatre on Monday 30th November 2015. This piece was adapted for children. Our students had a chance to see the wonderful scenography, rustic costumes, which was an interesting way to introduce them to the roles, opera voices and the plot. They enjoyed this opera and they are looking forward to their next visit.

Students of class IV2 visited the laboratory of the Faculty of Geography as part of the preparation for the exam `Environmental Systems and Societies`. Students did a research on the characteristics of abiotic components of the environment. Every ecosystem consists of biotic and abiotic components. Biotic components are living organisms while abiotic are non-living parts of the environment that affect living organisms (temperature, sunlight, water, pH, ground…).

The importance of Greek mythology to modern literature is indisputable. Latin language teacher Milena Pavlović and Serbian language teacher Katarina Urošević made an introduction to the famous Greek tragedy Antigone for the students of first grade. Students listened attentively to the tragic story of Oedipus. They learned the meaning of the suffering, dramatic unity, and at the end they experienced catharsis through this moving story of a tragic hero.

Our students visited Red Cross today and made donations. Our hosts showed us a presentation about the work and activities that they do. Later we saw their exhibition. What we learned there is that it is very important to be humane and compassionate and always to be willing to help others.
