On 2nd December a group of students from our school visited the Petnica Science Center as a part of the “Science Day” programme. The students listened to lectures on topics from physics, astronomy, history and geology. We had the opportunity to hear things that cannot be heard at school and we enjoyed the pleasant and friendly atmosphere everyone experiences here.
OpširnijeOn 28th November an open lesson was organized entitled “The painting and music of Romanticism” as a correlation between Art and Music. The students of II year took part and the other students and the school psychologist were the audience. The students made a presentation, slide show, played music in the background while talking about composers and painters who marked this romantic but turbulent period. This lesson definitely brought out the romantic side of the students.
OpširnijeMihajlo Pantić, a Serbian writer and reviewer, visited our school and talked to our students about their favourite books and discussed why there is a decreasing trend in reading books, especially classical literature.
OpširnijeOur friends from The Day Care Center in the part of town called ‘Julino brdo’ like number one tennis player in the world, Novak Đoković, so we decided to present the life of Novak Đoković to them through photos, a slide show and stories about him. Jovana Topić told them stories about Novak and then we talked about our famous tennis player. As always we had a great time.
OpširnijeWorld AIDS Day was marked by workshops created and organized by our Serbian Language Teacher, Katarina Urosevic, and Dragana Milovanovic, the school psychologist. Although the students have already been informed about the prevention of this disease we tried to look at the problem from a different perspective, by making a connection between the economics, living standard on the one hand and number of people infected.
