On Wednesday, 3rd December 2014 a lecture for the parents of the pupils of V and VI grades was delivered on the challenges they face during this period of their children’s development. Our guest was Ljiljana Filipovic, a psychologist and psychotherapist, who informed the parents about the changes that happen in puberty, and how and why they occur based on her experience in practice.

Our school, “Ruđer Bošković“ is a part of the “Healthy Kids” project which is a part of the global Nestlé initiative entitled ,,Nestlé Healthy Kids Global Programme”, with the objective of raising nutrition and health knowledge and promoting physical activity among school-age children around the world.

On 27th November, Dr Vera Vujovic delivered a lecture entitled “Psychoactive Substances” to VII grade pupils. Alcohol and drugs are widespread and thus represent one of the most serious sociomedical problems of this century. This is precisely why young people should be educated and problems and health issues caused by psychoactive substances should be pointed out to them.

During this literary event pupils of III and IV grade had the task to continue a story. The judges were other pupils and they chose the three best stories in each grade by voting. The winners received a book each. The event was organized by  teacher Vesna Rikalo , with the help of our librarian, Mrs. Milena Pavlovic, teachers Vesna, Ana, Katarina and Sanja.

Everyone had a nice time and the pupils are looking forward to organizing this event again.

On Tuesday, 25th November, Mr. Gradimir Stojkovic, a notable Serbian children’s writer visited our school. Our VI grade pupils who had already read some of his books took part. By a spontaneous, humorous and honest approach Gradimir Stojkovic once again dazzled the children.
