Students of VIII grade had the opportunity to meet Aleksandar Milanović, PhD and lecturer from the Faculty of Philology on 17/11/2016.  The topic was “The history of language and writing system”. Professor Milanović introduced the letters which existed just prior to Vuk’s reform. The students had their names written in old letters.  They searched for the sound changes which were not present in Vuk’s orthography but are a part of the language today.

For the first time, younger Ruđer students had the opportunity to play a football match away against the International school of Belgrade. The IV and V grade students were in the team: Matija Ćirić, Mladen Kantar, Luka Janković, Nemanja Đorđević, Matija Simić, Andrej Ivanić, Mihajlo Marković, Igor Savić, Vuk Danilović, Uroš Golubović, Boris Milošević and Marko Ećim.

As a part of the XVI edition of the International Week of the Italian language from 17th to 23rd October, an exhibition entitled “The passion and dreams of Italian fashion – creativity, style and research” was organized at The Residence of Princess Ljubica. The exhibition shows the talent, artistic form, and  tailored perfection of Italian fashion as a cultural heritage of a country.

On Thursday, 3/11/2016, students of grades 5A and 5 B visited the Planetarium. They expanded their knowledge about space in accordance with the topic they covered at school “WHERE WE ARE IN PLACE AND TIME”.

Students of VII grade participated in a workshop on Monday, 31/10/2016, on alcohol abuse. Students had the opportunity to find out why young people start to drink, and see the consequences of alcohol abuse. In groups students expressed their feeling and thoughts concerning this topic. Students discussed short term and long term effects of consuming alcohol on physical and mental health as well as social relationships and school achievement.
