The students of our school celebrated St Sava’s Day today. The programme was festive, it started with the hymn and the legend about the man who was looking for happiness. St Sava’s spirit is preserved through nurturing the tradition and language of the Serbian people and this was made possible by the drama club Puppets performing the play.
OpširnijeThe warmth of love between the famous poet of Romanticism Laza Kostić and Jelena Lenka Dundjerski made our cold January afternoon better. We visited Roda Cineplex cinema and enjoyed the film about the most beautiful poem of the Serbian literature “Santa Maria Della Salute“. We were convinced in the strength of the poet’s feelings and everlasting beauty of Lenka, made eternal in the famous verses.
OpširnijeYesterday, we were pleasantly surprised when we heard sounds of rock and pop music from our school hall, around 12h. Actually, we hosted students from Master Blaster music school who made us happy and festive. They had an excellent repertoire of quality music familiar to us, and they transferred their energy so we sang and danced together. Festive accessories were there too, compliments of our school principal.
OpširnijeWithin the holiday euphoria, students and employees of our school made New year’s presents that we took to two addresses. The first was the Home for children without parents “Dragutin Filipović Jusa“, situated in Vračar, for children aged between 3 and 7. The other one is The Children’s Shelter for children aged 15 in Zvezdara.
Our friends from the home and shelter were happy because of our visit, we had a great time and arranged a new gathering in the following year.
