During the Serbian Language and Literature class second grade students fought in the real elections. Two opposing literary heroes fought for their place in a political theatre. Two teams, two affirmative speeches, two texts that compromise the opposing hero, two posters, flyers and other propaganda materials made this class interesting, and we were all engaged in proving Tacitus's idea that "the desire for power is the most passionate of all."
OpširnijeThis year, secondary school students have linked two significant dates into a unique event.
OpširnijeOn October 18th, a great team of orienteers followed in the footsteps of our Nobel Prize Winner, a writer Ivo Andrić. We visited the house he lived in. We heard a lot of interesting information from the curator, although we already knew a lot. We had prepared for this and our knowledge of Ivo Andrić's biography was checked by Elena in front of the statue of our famous writer.
OpširnijeOn Thursday and Friday, October 12th & 13th, lectures on healthy nutrition and supplements for primary and secondary school students were held. The lectures were attended by students of Grades IA, III1, III2, IV1, 6A, 6B, 7A and 7B. The guest lecturer was a professor at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Belgrade, Mr. Lazar Toskić.
OpširnijeDuring several Serbian Language and Literature classes last week we participated in the experimental lesson "Advertisers". Students of the first and second grades of the MYP programme first analyzed the given advertisement. They assessed the degree of manipulation, whether the advertisement has an impact on our senses, reason or feelings, checked why advertisements are so intrusive ... And then everyone had the task of making a commercial for a social event.
