II IB Middle Years Programme ( IB MYP)
We are pleased to announce that the International Education System "Ruđer Bošković" from 6th June 2016 is formally a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme. International Baccalaureate organization (IB) has accepted our application and thus began a three-year authorization process, during which the school will meet all the requirements set by the IB.
MYP is a framework that encourages students to create practical connections between what they learn in school and the world in which they live. This programme can last from two to six years, and students who successfully complete it are completely prepared to continue their education in the IB Diploma Programme.
In the school year 2016/2017 this programme will attend all students in the fifth and sixth grade of primary school and first grade students of high school. In the coming school years the programme will be expanded to seventh and eighth grade of primary, and the second grade of high school.
The content of the programme is divided into eight subject groups, so that students are provided a sufficiently broad and balanced education. The IES "Ruđer Bošković" offers the following subjects:

III CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY PROGRAMME
The Cambridge Primary Programme, presents a curriculum framework to develop Mathematics, English and Science skills and knowledge in young children (5.5 – 11 years old). Appropriate and relevant internationally, Cambridge Primary has been designed to be culturally sensitive.
The modular nature of Cambridge Primary means that it can either be used as the central teaching curriculum or to complement other curricula, which is the case in Primary School Ruđer Bošković.
It provides teachers with an external benchmark to inform their teaching and easily measure learners' progress over time. Students’ learning is assessed as they progress with two optional assessments: Cambridge Primary progression tests and Cambridge Primary Achievement Tests. When the subjects which are not part of Cambridge Primary Curriculum are concerned, they are carried out according to the National Curriculum for primary schools set by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Depending on their age, students have a second foreign language, History, Art, Music, PE and compulsory optional subjects.
IV CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY 1 PROGRAMME
Cambridge Secondary 1 Programme is for learners who are 11-14 years old. The curriculum provides and develops students' knowledge and skills in Mathematics, English and Science.
Tests for Cambridge Checkpoint are standardised, set and marked by CIE and thus provide an international benchmark of student achievement enabling teachers to advise learners and parents of the suitability of different progression routes. Cambridge progression tests and analysis software provide detailed feedback on learners' strengths and weaknesses in the core skills of English, Mathematics and Science at the end of each stage.
