We went to Roda Cineplex on 13/10/2016 and saw our new film, “Train Driver’s Diary”. The Serbian candidate for the Oscar award was presented in Cannes and Moscow. The film stars Lazar Ristovski as Ilija, a man who holds an infamous record. He has actually run over 28 people. He and an abandoned boy Sima whom he adopts become partners, friends, father and son. Ilija teaches him how to become a good train driver although he strongly opposed at the beginning.

We have continued our friendship with Dejan Avramović, our orienteering friend. We had preparations for field work. We received an orienteering map of Košutnjak and a compass. Most of the students were very successful in solving their tasks, such as what is ratio, how to manage a compass and read a map, etc. Theoretically, we are ready for field work. Next Wednesday we will put on some comfortable clothes and be in high spirits for working on the obstacle course.

Students of "Ruđer Bošković" High school spent the last week of September abroad. First year students visited the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, known as “the Golden City”. The second year students went to the capital of Lombardy, Milan; and the third year students visited Athens – one of the oldest European cities. Our senior students chose Russia this year and visited the landmarks of Moscow. Our students will write their impressions of these destinations.

After some serious preparation we began our story about orienteering on September 22nd. Our guest lecturer was Mr. Dejan Avramović of the Athletic-Orienteering Club “Košutnjak”.
We learned more about orienteering. It is a sport, balance of all our predispositions, skills, maps and compass, the essence of a movement, self-control; it is unmistakable interaction between people, endless road, and appealing harmony with nature and with one’s self.
