As a part of Middle Years program (MYP) on Saturday, December 15th, a workshop was held in our school. Student Laila Šašivarević from the Second Secondary School in Sarajevo realized her personal project (Personal Project) which involved organizing a trip to Belgrade, a three-day tour of the city and a workshop for students from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On 14th December 2018, our dear guest was Drazen Kovacevic, a comic artist. He enchanted us with his extraordinary charisma and we were all tempted to draw. Those who claimed that they did not know how to draw, were the most creative. He gave us a few tips and tricks. Our knowledge of Greek mythology was crucial for inspiration, so during the Serbian language class a "miracle" happened.

We took another opportunity to learn outside the classroom. We followed the footsteps of our Nobel Prize winner on December 13th , 2018. We have visited the museum house of Ivo Andric. Before we entered the building, besides the bust of the famous author, Bogdan told us about his life. The curator of the museum was interesting. We have learned that Andric was a good student (although his Ds were not promising in the beginning), an exceptional altruistic and gentleman.

During the Latin language class, our high school first grade student, Nevena Terzic, took us on a journey to the underworld through the eyes of Orpheus, Odysseus, and Aeneas. We learned new details about the ruler of the underworld, Hades and his Persephone. We finished our class by mentioning the poems by Branko Miljkovic and Rilke which tell about Orpheus' visit to the underworld to get his beloved Eurydice. The poems are: Triptych for Eurydice and Orpheus, Eurydice and Hermes.

At the special class on November 27, 2018, we were engaged in cultural history and etymology of phraseologisms originating from Greek and Roman mythology. The first grade students took part. The class combined Latin and Serbian. Jovan, Neven and Stefan were outstanding, and many other found their place among the good connoisseurs of this field.
