The play "Little Corporal" reveals to us the heroic destiny of the boyhood character of the boy Momcilo Gavric, who in difficult circumstances that hit Serbia in 1914. will be forced to leave his burned village in the vicinity of Loznica and go on a fretful trip together with the Serbian army. This shocking and unique story in Serbian history, the boy to whom the war has taken away both family and childhood, contains in itself a story about the golgoth and the resurrection of our small nation in the great struggle for survival. Momcilo Gavric is one of the icons of the First Conscious War and symbol of our suffering. The boy's romantic figure had a tremendous impact on the army and people's support. Our students watched this touching story with special attention.
