Dear pupils, teachers, employees of “Ruđer Bošković“ Educational System, on Tuesday, 10th February 2015, a big humanitarian bake sale will be organized….
The money will be used for buying T-shirts with our school logo and the logo of “DEBRA - the organization working on behalf of those affected by the genetic skin blistering condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB)”.
DEBRA takes care of all those affected by this rare disease in Serbia and their families. Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a group of rare genetic skin conditions, which is characterised by extremely fragile skin and recurrent blister formation, resulting from minor mechanical friction or trauma. In many countries, Butterfly Children is a term often used to describe younger patients because their skin is as fragile as a butterfly’s wings. Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of genetic conditions. The condition is always painful, frequently very disabling and life threatening and, in its most severe forms, fatal in infancy. There are currently around 50 patients of EB in Serbia (mainly children and young people as their life span is significantly shortened by the disease).
DEBRA puts in an enormous effort to help these children and their families.
IT’S UP TO YOU ! ! !
