To mark the centenary of Nadežda Petrović’s death, an exhibition was organized in the Gallery of Central Military Club.
Students of Art club had a chance to see 73 paintings from The National Museum.
Nadežda Petrović was a painter whose versatile contribution made great influence on the prosperity of mankind.She was a painter, drawing teacher in Women’s College in Belgrade, promoter of art exhibitions, art critic, playwright. She was also a humanist. She helped the people in the territories occupied by Ottoman empire and translated protests against annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She held talks on rights of Serbian people and other enslaved Slavic nations in our country and abroad thanks to her knowledge of French, German and Russian.
