The 12th Festival of research of the Belgrade primary and secondary schools was held on Saturday, 22nd April, 2016.
Students from the following schools took part: Zemun High School, 8th,13th and 3rd High School, primary schools “Veljko Dugošević”, “Ruđer Bošković” and “Ruđer Bošković” High School.
The participants presented works in the field of physics, chemistry, ecology, mathematics and history. The students introduced us to the field of optics, applied mathematics and new viewpoints in the world of bio-energy in an interesting way. We could also hear an interesting presentation about the causes and consequences of Serbian – Turks wars. The expert committee consisting of our expert associates from the Belgrade University – Maja Šumar, professor of the Faculty of Chemistry, Dragana Miličić – professor of the Faculty of Biology, Slavoljub Dragićević – professor of the Faculty of Geography, as well as the colleagues of our Educational system – Dejan Pavlović, history teacher and Božidar Radusin, Physics teacher decided that the most successful work was the one presented by Olgica Maksimović, the second year student of the 8th Belgrade High School with the title – Potential of the application of Pseudomonas species in the bioremediation of polluted waters.
