The 11th finals of the State competition in the field of philosophy and sociology was held on Saturday, 23rd April in our high school. Before the committee consisting of dr Predrag Krstić (The Institute of philosophy and social theory), Nena Šurlan and Srđan Barišić, philosophy and sociology teachers at our school, the high school students discussed two topics: We see and understand the world the same way we are and The relationship between the knowledge and beliefs in searching for the truth. By arguing their opinions, the finalists showed eloquence, open-mindedness, spirit, cheerfulness, dedication, perseverance and tolerance – sufficient for the optimistic view of the future. The winner of the XI competition is Anica Glavčić from the Vrnjačka banja high school, the author of the essay We see and understand the world the same way we are and a very active participant of the discussions. Her mentor is teacher  Dragoslav Đurović.
