A visit from Vuk’s Endowment

A visit from Vuk’s Endowment

Our dear guests from Vuk's endowment visited us on Thursday, 11th October 2018. The interview was conducted by Ljilja Simić. The introductory story was about rewards in youth literature. An interesting fact is that Vesna Aleksić, with the collection “The Constellation of Violins”, is found in the catalog of the fair in Frankfurt. We also found some new information about the method of Vuk’s work, some details from Mina's life, and as a reward for a nice reading and careful listening, the book about Mina was given to Tea Polimac.

Gordana Maletić, a children's writer, the winner of the Dositej’s pen award, the editor of "Danica za mlade" read out an excerpt from the story "Adios, Gringo" from the collection of Vesela pošiljka. Another guest, poet Božidar Pešev, read two of his poems Golden Gate and Nemir. Rajko Lukač, a children's writer, shared with us several of his poems "To the Belgrade Reader", "Who Reads Modern Poetry", "The Next Reader" ... We heard a poem more, a story and storytelling. The guests were charming, they animated the children by listening carefully and shyly participating.

This meeting in the month of the book was the promotion of reading, written words, Vuk and Mina Karadžić and "Danica za mlade", which found its place in our school library.
