On Wednesday, March 7th, we marked the month of the Francophone culture by organising cultural orienteering - Following the traces of the French in Belgrade.

The first point was the French Cultural Centre where we were greeted by friendly hosts and Madam Catherine. She informed us about the activities of the Centre, the courses and workshops that they organise, as well as about the exhibitions that will be held in near future. The  orienteers examined the library and the exhibition of Andre Franken's comic on an infinitely charming and clumsy hero, the hero of all the dreamers - Gaston.

After that, we had a dessert  at the second point of our tour, in the French bakery ”La Petite Cantine“.

At the next point, Darko, our French teacher, told us about the Monument of Gratitude to France on Kalemegdan, about the French Embassy. He pointed to some of the details that we had not noticed before.

The whole trip helped us to enhance our knowledge of the closeness between the two peoples who co-operated in the First World War and created a Serbian-French friendship. During the lovely two hours, the French language was often heard, which created a romantic atmosphere on such a lovely, sunny day.
