On Monday, December 29^th, we had the long awaited panel discussion on the topic the youth and media. Our dear guest was Dragana Predić, the assistant city secretary for culture and a member of Council of Europe committee for safety of journalists.

Professor Gordana Predić made an interesting introduction about the importance of media, about the new laws in media and also about the need of young people to critically receive the information that they are exposed to daily. We talked about the book ‘’Youth and Media’’ by Andy Ruddock that the students had to read beforehand. The book mentions the link between rap music and violence, the reality TV shows that present the unrealistic life, it twists the reality the way that the reality is not real if it is not on TV. Students really liked this topic and they expressed that they would like to continue discussion on this topic. In the second term Gordana Predić will organize another discussion for the students.
