From September 30 to October 4, we were in Italy on our first joint journey. Romantic atmosphere, incredible architecture, kind people, a lot of tourists made us feel great.
On the second day we went to Venice. Our guide Sneža brought us for a serious walk. We saw and heard everything that was significant on our way towards Santa Maria della Salute. The Sigh Bridge, St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, the Rialto Bridge, the gondolas and the canals are the images engraved in our memories. We finished our walk next to the building that inspired our poet Lazo Kostic to write his poem of swans. We used our free time for gondola rides, a “labyrinth” search and search for the best photos so we could fulfill our creative task. The rain at the end of the day did not spoil our mood. We spent the evening in Lido di Jesolo taking walks, riding on a big wheel and having fun.
On the third day we went to Verona and Padua. Both cities are cute, cuddled, romantic. We had two Juliets and two Romeos, who performed the scene from the Capulet's Garden. One pair finished the act, and the other one was embarrassed before the crowd who was interested in hearing what was happening there. In Padua we visited the Basilica of Saint Anthony, a university whose student was Petrarch, Prato della Vale, an elliptical square. The buildings, lanterns, posh people, a multitude of young people were particularly attractive to our eyes.
The fourth day was reserved for Trieste. An extremely beautiful city, of slightly different architecture than other Italian cities. The Austro-Hungarian influence is striking. The greatest impression was left by the Orthodox Church, which is surprisingly luxurious and that brought peace and tranquility to all of us, even those who are not believers. The biggest euphoria was caused by Foot Locker. During this trip we visited three shops of 3363, which is as many as they there are in the world.
We returned to Belgrade full of impressions. We got to know each other better. We got along well. We took care of each other. We remembered some signs along the road that would help us color a gray day that lied ahead.
