On Friday, March 11^th, an open class devoted to Dostoevsky was held. A new and interesting approach to the novel was prepared by our Russian Language Teacher Lana and Serbian Language Teacher Katarina.

We have learnt about Dostoevsky’s life and how his biography reflected on his literature. With a help of a city map we walked around Petrograd following Raskolnikov’s steps.

We clarified nuances of the mental state of the main character. We saw a few extracts from the Russian version of “Crime and Punishment” without translation subtitles, having in mind the details that we had learned about the murder.

The discussion on the Crime and Punishment introduced us to the philosophy of Super-human.
