The "Ruđer Bošković" education system is a recognized Cambridge International Centre since 2008.

Cambridge International Programmes

Being a recognized International Cambridge Centre since 2008, the "Ruđer Bošković" educational system implements the following programs:

- In primary school:

1) Cambridge Primary Programme (age group 5.5 to 11)

2) Cambridge Secondary 1 Programme (age group 12 to 14)

- In high school:

3) International General Certificate of Secondary education- IGCSE (age group 15 to 16)

- as part of the professional advancement of teachers:

4) Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers and Trainers (for teachers who complete the accredited training programme).

a) CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY PROGRAMME

The Cambridge Primary Programme provides a framework in which the youngest pupils (5.5 to 11 years of age) develop skills and knowledge of English, mathematics and science. As an international program, the Cambridge Primary Programme acknowledges cultural differences and particularities. Its nature allows its application in the form of a central curriculum and as a complementary syllabus for other curricula, which is the case in "Ruđer Bošković" primary school.

The progress of our pupils is monitored via standardized tests (Progression Tests) concerning English, mathematics and science. For subjects that are not included in the Cambridge Primary Programme, classes are conducted in line with the corresponding programmes prescribed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Depending on their age, pupils have courses of Serbian language, second foreign language, history, arts, music, physical education and of required electives.

b) CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY 1 PROGRAMME 

Designed for children aged 11 to 14 years, it includes courses of English, mathematics and science. Pupils' progress is monitored by standardized tests. At the end of the programme, pupils take tests (Cambridge Checkpoint tests) that provide detailed information not only about the knowledge that the student has acquired, but also offer an insight into his-hers strengths and weaknesses, which has predictive value for further education. The Cambridge Checkpoint tests are standardized and are evaluated externally, making them internationally recognized and allowing the pupils to continue their education at the next level within this system.
