Last week, our students actively took part in the seventh Green Fest – festival of green culture. On Wednesday, 16/11/2016 our student Jelena Gavrilović gave a lecture entitled „The effect of acid rain on seed germination of wheat“. The older students participated in workshops “Fast Food”, “Don’t waste Food”, and “There is only one planet Earth”. After the workshops they watched a film called ‘’Racing Extinction’’. Lower grade students also took part in a number of workshops: “What is why carbon footprint”, “Flying with white storks”, “The combination of bottles and imagination” , “Let’s explore and discover nature”. The festival has been accredited and has received the EFFE (Europe for festivals festivals for Europe) label for the quality of the event, and significance on the local, national and international level. This label is given to festivals with an artistic commitment, involvement in their local communities and a European and global outlook. EFFE is a result of many years of intense collaboration with the European Commission and European Parliament. The EFFE Platform answers a project call launched by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
