FIRST LECTURE – FORGOTTEN SERBIAN INTELLECTUALS

On Wednesday, November 4th, our third grade student Danica Gaković gave a lecture about Serbian educators. This was the first presentation within the project of Student Parliament ‘Forgotten Serbian Intellectuals’. Danica presented the life and work of Zaharije Orfelin, Gavrilo Stefan Venculović and Jovan Rajić. She also recited the poem ‘Plač Serbiji’ from Zaharije Orfelin. At the end of this presentation, our second grade student Petar Raičković read a few more verses from Zaharije Orfelin. This lecture brought us closer to the life and work of our intellectuals. We are looking forward to Danica’s next lecture.
