A Lucrative Place

A Lucrative Place

Our gang of theater lovers found the ideal place and time to spend Wednesday 25 April. The place was the Yugoslav Drama Theater, and the play that we watched was A Lucrative Place, directed by Egon Savin. The play left a strong impression on us. The actors' performance was above all expectations. One of our favorite actresses, Jelisaveta Sablić, was acting. Particularly brilliant was the performance of the young actor Nikola Rakocevic.

The play focuses on the role of a woman in Russian aristocracy. The director and the actors portrayed the experiences of different generations of women. A Lucrative Place is the work of A.N. Ostrovsky. And, although it was written in the 19th century, we can say that some issues are still present and very burning.
