This year, secondary school students have linked two significant dates into a unique event.
We celebrated the Day of Languages and the Food Day at the same time, on 16 October 2017. Every language spoken in our school had its booth and chefs who tried to make the perfect meal. The students who are learning German were preparing a salad together with German teacher Gordana Đorđević. The students learning Chinese prepared the risotto and some interesting dessert with teacher Ivana. The chef on the Russian stand was student Nikola Kovačević, and his team prepared a dessert called Russian Caps. The students learning Italian had and impressive performance. They made a salad and Tiramisu. Most observers gathered around them and tried to taste the dishes before the event actually started. Student Nađa successfully organized her team. 'The English' were making burgers with teacher Jelena Bezarević. 'The Serbs' first started in the relaxed Balkan mood by making jacket potatoes with kajmak, salads, mezze. Students Mila, Nikoleta and Marija "have explained" everything, as professional tasters say. 'The Spaniards' had the least time, but the girls and their teacher Suzana managed to make a miracle. They were very charming in addressing our cameraperson, Tara, who recorded a short story about every meal in each language. The organizers, teachers Nena and Katarina, were very satisfied.
