FOLLOWING IN IVO ANDRIĆ'S FOOTSTEPS

On October 18th, a great team of orienteers followed in the footsteps of our Nobel Prize Winner, a writer Ivo Andrić. We visited the house he lived in. We heard a lot of interesting information from the curator, although we already knew a lot. We had prepared for this and our knowledge of Ivo Andrić's biography was checked by Elena in front of the statue of our famous writer. The next point - the Moscow Hotel, the place of the gathering of great writers of Andrić's time and the place where in 1961 he celebrated the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature. We visited a place at No 7 Prizrenska Street where he lived for some time and where he wrote the novel The Bridge on the Drina, and then we heard an interesting story in front of the building of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. We ended our walk in Kalemegdan park, where the great writer often came to watch basketball matches.

A nice day, smart children, well-trained speakers, the enchanting ambience made the two teachers (with the same name, Katarina :-) quite proud.
