THE ROYAL PALACE

THE ROYAL PALACE

On Tuesday, 19th April, primary and high school students visited the Royal Compound in Dedinje, which was built by King Alexander I, between 1924 and 1929.

On this occasion, our students brought sweets for the children without parental care, as a part of the campaign organised by Princess Katherine. We enjoyed listening to the curator about its architecture, history of the Royal Dynasty Karadjordjevic, about the turbulent times and changes that were also witnessed by this building. We visited the Royal Chapel which was devoted to Saint Apostle Andrew and whose completion was not seen by King Alexander I as he was assassinated in Marseilles in 1934. This topic was just started and we had a feeling like we could repeat this visit and hear, learn and see new things every single time.
